ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday called for a meeting to take stock of the ongoing electricity crisis in the country, reported BOL News.
As per details, during the meeting, the officials of the Ministry of Energy briefed the premier on the current power outages situation.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif obtained the statistics related to power generation and supply in the country. He also inquired from the delegation details about the power transmission situation at various feeders.

PM opined that people’s problems should be reduced and for the sake, government and authorities needs to work together.

It is pertinent to mention here that the situation in regard to power supply in Pakistan has reached its worse.
As per the reports pouring in BOL News, nearly all major cities have been braving 14-16 hours of electricity cuts daily.
The prolonged and unannounced electricity outages have deepened the miseries of the people amid scorching summer and have affected the supply of water as well.
Notably, former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the power cuts would be reduced to 3.5 hours from June 7 and announced that from June 16 it would be further reduced to 3 hours.
